The Emerald Room - Kips Bay Show House Dallas

You enter the Emerald Room through what feels like a dream - the Enchanted Hallway. Its walls are wrapped in lush green wallpaper, its chairs seem to whisper stories and secrets. It’s as if you’re being led through an enchanted forest before arriving at something luminous.

And then - there she is. The Emerald Room.

Designed by Tula Summersford of Designs by Tula for Kips Bay Dallas 2025, the space glows with beauty and power.

Tula describes it perfectly:

“If the Emerald Room were a woman, she would be unapologetically glamorous - commanding attention with her intense, jewel-toned allure and boundless confidence.”

And she truly does. Every corner of this room tells her story. Handmade lighting by Avram Rusu casts a golden warmth that dances across the lacquered walls and gold leafed ceiling. Artisanal furniture in velvet and silk speaks of timeless elegance.

At the heart of the space, two of my paintings stand quietly yet boldly. Their reflections glimmer across an antique mirror, continuing a dialogue between art and interior - between emotion and design.

Designer Tula Summersford spoke about our collaboration:

“Zana’s paintings capture the soul of feminine mystique -spirit, elegance, and vulnerability with every brushstroke. Her work resonates deeply with my vision for the Emerald Room by mirroring its vibrant energy and celebrating the exuberance, strength, and grace of women.”

It’s rare when design and art meet in such perfect balance- when a space feels alive, breathing the same air as the paintings on its walls. The Emerald Room embodies that harmony. It’s confident, lush, and full of spirit - a reminder that glamour and soul can coexist, that beauty can be both powerful and tender.
